Bartolomé Mitre

Bartolomé Mitre (1821-1906) was one of Argentina's most influential political and cultural figures from its country. He was the first constitutional president of the unified Argentina, from 1862 to 1868. He is also the founder of the newspaper La Nación, one of its country's oldest editorials.
