Liesbeth den Uyl

Elisabeth Jacoba (Beppie, Liesbeth) den Uyl-van Vessem (Amsterdam, June 18, 1924 – Amsterdam, September 30, 1990) was a Dutch activist, publicist, and politician of the PvdA. She was the wife of the well-known politician Joop den Uyl (Prime Minister from 1973 to 1977). She was involved in many political, social, and cultural activities, published a number of short story collections, and wrote for magazines such as Opzij, Vrij Nederland, Margriet, and Het Parool.
